Expectations
What to expect from a session
In order to assess the value of any service it is necessary to establish expectations of what is provided and the rate. However, I do expect to surpass those expectations. I'm only successful if my clients leave the session with increased confidence and a smile on their face. In short, the studio session is not just about the pictures but also the experience.
Have you ever been asked to say, "cheese"?
Don't worry, I won't. It's my objective to capture images of you that demonstrate your confidence and approachability.
Photography is about lights, camera, and Interaction!
We're all asked to provide a profile picture these days and you should control the image you wish to represent yourself. Your image should project energy and hold the viewer's gaze. It's my job to provide the coaching to assist you in being expressive while looking genuine.
A typical session involves a lot of information to be exchanged. We'll often stop shooting to discuss the strengths and weakness of our images. Ultimately, we are creating your personal on-line brand. We are collaborating and it's vital we are open and honest about what we see and how it aligns with the desired end result.
Style
For each session, it is my goal to provide you with as many different looks as possible. What that means, is we will begin our session to capture a clean and sharp image that could be used for a variety of purposes. Once we have accomplished this, then the fun starts and we begin to experiment. Using light and shadow we can carve out different looks and personalizing it with your wardrobe and unique expressions that tell your story.
Time
The more time that is committed to the project then the greater our success will be. For most people, it takes at least 30 minutes to lose their insecurities, warm up, and begin to show their personality. Once this happens, then over the next hour we begin to capture some great expressions and images. It's a rare client that wants to shoot more than 2 hours. At the end of the session, we'll both feel like we put in a full day's work.
